LaMelo Ball, guard for the Charlotte Hornets, has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for making an offensive and derogatory comment in a postgame interview following Saturday's 115-114 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The league announced the penalty on Sunday, stating that Ball used inappropriate language during his remarks. The fine was issued by Joe Dumars, NBA Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations. Ball reportedly used an anti-gay slur, saying "no homo," during the interview. His coach indicated that Ball has apologized for the comment.
