VisitNASCAR Penalizes Austin Hill $25K and 25 Points for Charlotte Xfinity Series Incident with Cole Custer

Austin Hill has been penalized by NASCAR following an incident with Cole Custer during Saturday's Xfinity Series race at Charlotte. Hill has been fined $25,000 and docked 25 driver points for intentionally wrecking Custer on the backstretch. This penalty has significant implications for the championship standings, dropping Hill from first to third place. Hill's actions were deemed a violation of section 4.4B of the NASCAR Member Code of Conduct. As a result of the penalty, Hill now trails Chandler Smith by 21 points for the lead and is four points behind Custer for second place in the Xfinity standings.
