VisitNASCAR Cup Series to Race in Mexico City in June 2025 for First Time in 67 Years
Aug 27, 2024, 03:14 PM
NASCAR has officially announced that the Cup Series will include a race in Mexico City as part of its 2025 schedule. This marks the first time in 67 years that a NASCAR Cup Series points race will take place outside the United States or Canada. The event is scheduled for June 14-15, 2025, coinciding with Father’s Day, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, a 17-turn, 2.674-mile road course also used in Formula 1. The Xfinity Series and the NASCAR Mexico Series will also participate in the event. The announcement was made with NASCAR's Ben Kennedy and driver Daniel Suarez. The Cup race will be broadcast on Prime Video, while the Xfinity race will air on CW. This historic event will replace one of the Richmond race weekends, although the full schedule is yet to be confirmed.
