VisitMusk's xAI Discusses Deal to License AI Tech to Tesla for FSD, Revenue Split
Sep 8, 2024, 03:12 AM
Elon Musk's xAI has discussed a potential deal with Tesla to license its AI technology in exchange for a share of future Tesla revenue. This technology would be used to enhance Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities and develop voice assistance features similar to Siri. However, Musk has stated that Tesla will not license xAI's technology, despite the discussions. The proposed arrangement has raised questions about the necessity of a revenue split for xAI, given the availability of other large language models (LLMs) at lower costs. Tesla shareholders currently have no stake in xAI.
