VisitMusk's X to Allow Third-Party AI Training Using User Data Starting November 15
Oct 17, 2024, 08:11 PM
X, formerly known as Twitter and owned by Elon Musk, is updating its privacy policy and terms of service to allow user data, including posts and media such as images, videos, and audio, to be used for training AI models. The new policy permits third-party collaborators to access this data for independent purposes, including AI training, whether generative or otherwise. Data sharing is enabled by default, and no compensation is offered to users for the use of their content. These changes will take effect on November 15. Users concerned about their data being used for AI training can opt out by adjusting their settings under 'Privacy and safety' and disabling the 'Grok' option.
