Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, has accused the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of obstructing relief efforts for victims of Hurricane Helene in North Carolina. Musk shared a message from a SpaceX engineer in Asheville stating that "FEMA is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally." According to the engineer, shipments of over 300 Starlink terminals and critical supplies are being held up, with FEMA requiring an escort for deliveries to proceed. Musk also reported that SpaceX engineers were prevented from landing their helicopter to deliver aid to devastated areas. Musk described the situation as "unconscionable" and shared video evidence showing the extent of the devastation.
