Mumbai Police have arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a 30-year-old Bangladeshi national, in connection with the stabbing of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his residence in Bandra. The incident occurred on January 16, and Shehzad was apprehended in Thane following an intensive manhunt. He had illegally entered India and changed his identity to Vijay Das to conceal his origins. The attack, which took place during an alleged burglary attempt, resulted in Khan sustaining six stab wounds, including one near his spine. Khan underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital and is reported to be recovering well. Shehzad had been living in Mumbai for six months and was previously employed at a bar in Thane. The police used advanced technology, including facial recognition and CCTV analysis, to track down Shehzad.
