VisitMontenegro Approves Extradition of Terra's Do Kwon to U.S. After Appeal Rejected
Dec 27, 2024, 03:25 PM
Montenegro's Minister of Justice, Bojan Božović, has signed a decision approving the extradition of Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to the United States, following the rejection of his appeal to cancel the extradition. Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro on March 23, 2023, for using fake documents, and faces fraud charges in the U.S. related to the $40 billion collapse of the Terra Luna cryptocurrency, which caused widespread financial losses. The decision to extradite to the U.S. over South Korea ends a legal battle between the two countries seeking his extradition.
