Major League Baseball (MLB) has announced plans to overhaul its uniforms by the 2025 season in response to widespread criticism from players and fans. The changes, as reported by various sources including ESPN and Jeff Passan, will address issues such as the visibility of sweat, see-through pants, and mismatched gray uniforms. The uniforms, produced by Nike, will feature enlarged lettering on the back and a return to previous material standards to reduce sweat visibility and fix transparency issues. An MLBPA memo criticized the changes, stating "Nike was innovating something that didn’t need to be innovated."
