The Minnesota Golden Gophers staged a dramatic comeback to defeat the UCLA Bruins 21-17 at the Rose Bowl. UCLA initially led 7-0 after a 1-yard run by Keegan Jones and extended their lead to 10-0 at halftime with a 34-yard field goal by Mateen Bhaghani. The Gophers responded in the third quarter with a 12-yard touchdown from Max Brosmer to Elijah Spencer and a 2-yard run by Darius Taylor, taking a 14-10 lead. UCLA regained the lead with a 42-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Garbers to J. Michael Sturdivant, making it 17-14. However, Minnesota's Darius Taylor caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Brosmer with 27 seconds left, securing the victory. Koi Perich intercepted Garbers' final pass to seal the win. Minnesota improved to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the Big Ten, while UCLA fell to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the Big Ten.
