Braun, currently serving as a Senator, emerged as a strong favorite for the upcoming general election. In the primary results, Braun led with 39.1% of the votes, followed by Suzanne Crouch with 21.7%, and Brad Chambers with 17.2%. His lead over Crouch was by 52,245 votes.
