VisitMicrosoft to Launch Public Preview of Copilot Studio, Enabling Autonomous AI Agents in November
Oct 21, 2024, 11:46 AM
Microsoft announced that starting in November, customers will be able to build autonomous AI agents using Copilot Studio, which will enter public preview next month. The AI agents are designed for minimal human intervention and can work on behalf of individuals, teams, or functions. "Copilot is the UI for AI, and with Copilot Studio, customers can easily create, manage, and connect agents to Copilot," said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The new capabilities include autonomous triggers, dynamic plan creation, and an 'Activity' tab for tracking agent runs. Microsoft is also introducing ten pre-built autonomous agents within Dynamics 365 to handle routine tasks such as client inquiries, sales leads, and inventory management. The AI agents will utilize several AI models developed both in-house and by OpenAI. This move positions Microsoft ahead of competitors like Salesforce in the expanding market for AI-powered business solutions. The deployment of these agents could potentially save businesses up to $50 million annually.
