VisitMichael Shvo Faces New York Supreme Court Dispute with Core Club Over Transamerica Pyramid Lease
Jun 26, 2024, 07:27 PM
A BLOCKBUSTER legal dispute has arisen between Michael Shvo, the owner of the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco, and Core Club, a private social club that planned to open in the iconic office tower. The conflict has escalated to the New York Supreme Court. Core Club alleges that Shvo deceived them about promised investments, verbally abused staff, and attempted to seize a 50% stake in their company. The club, which was supposed to open last year at the base of the Transamerica Pyramid, is now suing Shvo for breach of contract and seeking to rescind its lease.
