VisitMicah Parsons Records 2.5 Sacks to Reach 12 for Season, Joins NFL Legends
Jan 5, 2025, 06:10 PM
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons achieved a significant milestone in the team's final game of the 2024 NFL season against the Washington Commanders, reaching double-digit sacks for the fourth consecutive season. Parsons recorded 2.5 sacks in the game, bringing his season total to 12 sacks. This performance allowed him to join an elite group of players, including Reggie White, Derrick Thomas, Dwight Freeney, and Claude Humphrey, who have recorded 10 or more sacks in each of their first four seasons in the NFL. All four of these players are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Parsons achieved his first sack of the game on the very first play, dropping Washington's quarterback Jayden Daniels for a 4-yard loss, and followed it with another sack on the third play, forcing a three-and-out.
