Barbara Balmaseda, a Miami GOP strategist with ties to the far-right Proud Boys, has been indicted by a federal grand jury for her role in the January 6 insurrection. Balmaseda, who is 23 years old, a former intern for Senator Marco Rubio, and a former FIU student, was seen entering the Capitol during the insurrection alongside members of the Proud Boys. The indictment, based on a court filing, charges her with storming and entering the Capitol.
