VisitMetro Boomin, Real Name Leland Wayne, Sued for Alleged Rape Referenced in 'Rap Saved Me'
Oct 30, 2024, 02:07 PM
Metro Boomin, whose real name is Leland Wayne, is facing a lawsuit filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles alleging that he raped a woman in 2016. The woman claims that while grieving the loss of her son, she visited Metro Boomin's studio, where she consumed alcohol and half a Xanax bar. She alleges that she blacked out and awoke to find the producer performing sexual acts on her, resulting in a pregnancy that she later terminated. The lawsuit asserts that Metro Boomin referenced the incident in the lyrics of the 2017 song "Rap Saved Me," making light of her trauma. Metro Boomin's attorney, Lawrence Hinkle II, has denied the allegations, calling them a "pure shakedown" and stating, "These are false accusations. Mr. Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now." The producer intends to defend himself in court and file a claim for malicious prosecution.
