VisitMeta Unveils Orion, 'Most Advanced' AR Glasses, at Connect Conference

Meta Platforms has unveiled its first pair of augmented reality (AR) glasses, named Orion, at its annual Connect conference. CEO Mark Zuckerberg described Orion as the 'most advanced glasses the world has ever seen.' These AR glasses feature a holographic display, neural interface technology, a 70-degree field of view (FoV), and are powered by custom silicon designed by Meta. The glasses support eye, hand, and brain signal tracking, and offer real-time translations and memory assistance. Orion also includes an EMG wristband and silicon carbide lenses. Additionally, Meta introduced new AI features for its Ray-Ban Meta glasses, including real-time video and QR code scanning capabilities.
