Meta Platforms Inc. has announced plans to construct its largest data center in Richland Parish, Louisiana, in collaboration with the Louisiana Economic Development agency. This facility, which will be the largest of over 20 Meta data centers worldwide, is designed to enhance the company's artificial intelligence capabilities and support the training of future open-source large language models (LLMs). The project is valued at $10 billion and will be constructed by Turner Construction, a subsidiary of the ACS Group, which specializes in data center construction.
