VisitMeta Announces $10B AI Data Center in Louisiana, 4M sq. ft. and 1,500 MW Renewable Energy Commitment

Meta Platforms Inc. has announced plans to construct a $10 billion AI-optimized data center in Richland Parish, Louisiana, in partnership with Louisiana Economic Development (LED). The facility, which will span 4 million square feet, is set to be Meta's largest data center globally, surpassing its existing facilities. Additionally, Meta will collaborate with Entergy to introduce at least 1,500 megawatts of new renewable energy to the grid through its Geaux Zero Program. The company has also committed to contributing up to $1 million annually to Entergy's 'The Power To Care' program, aimed at supporting low-income ratepayers.
