VisitMEA: 50 Indian Nationals in Russian Army Seek Discharge, PM Raised Issue

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has reported that approximately 50 Indian nationals currently serving in the Russian Armed Forces have expressed their desire to be discharged. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that these individuals or their family members have approached the Indian government for assistance. The issue was raised by the Prime Minister during his recent visit to Russia, and the Russian authorities have responded positively. Efforts are underway at various levels to secure the early discharge of these Indian nationals, and they are expected to return home soon.
