Verstappen took the pole with a time just 0.093 seconds ahead of Lando Norris, with Oscar Piastri in third. In the sprint race, Verstappen claimed victory, marking his 10th career sprint win. Piastri finished second, 4.6 seconds behind, and Norris secured third place. Verstappen's performance also earned him his 40th career pole position, his fifth pole in Austria, and his 8th pole of 2024.
