Max Verstappen has secured pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring, marking his 40th career pole. Verstappen's lap time of 1:04.314 was four-tenths of a second faster than Lando Norris, who will start in P2. George Russell secured P3, followed by Carlos Sainz in P4 and Lewis Hamilton in P5. Charles Leclerc ended up in P6 after going off track on his final lap. Oscar Piastri initially qualified third but had his lap time deleted for exceeding track limits, dropping him to P7. Sergio Perez finished in P8, Nico Hulkenberg in P9 with a time of 1:05.385, and Esteban Ocon secured P10. Verstappen praised his team for their hard work, calling the car's performance 'really strong.'
