Sep 13, 2024, 11:31 AM
A massive four-alarm warehouse fire broke out early Friday morning in the Frankford section of Northeast Philadelphia, engulfing a multi-story industrial building. Approximately 150 firefighters and nearly 60 trucks from the Philadelphia Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire, which began around 5:30 AM, spread to nearby structures and vehicles, causing significant smoke that affected the city's skyline. SkyForce10 and CHOPPER 6 provided live aerial coverage of the incident. Residents were advised to stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed due to the heavy smoke. The blaze was brought under control later in the day, but road closures around Adams Avenue and Wingohocking Street remain in place. No casualties have been reported.
