A mass shooting occurred late Saturday night in the Five Points South area of Birmingham, Alabama, resulting in at least four deaths and dozens of injuries. The incident, which took place around 11 p.m., involved multiple shooters who fired into a crowd in a popular nightlife district. Birmingham Police confirmed that three victims died at the scene, while a fourth succumbed to injuries at the hospital. At least 25 people were shot, with 21 others wounded. Law enforcement is actively investigating the incident and has requested assistance from the FBI and ATF in the search for the suspects. Mayor Randall Woodfin is calling for the state to ban Glock switches, which convert a semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic weapon. No arrests have been made so far.
