Tens of thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets in Tel Aviv and across the country, demanding Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's resignation and calling for early elections. The protests are largely driven by dissatisfaction with Netanyahu's handling of the ongoing Gaza war and his failure to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas. Demonstrators are urging the government to negotiate a swap deal with Hamas to free the hostages. Families of Israeli detainees have been particularly vocal, criticizing Netanyahu for prolonging the conflict. Protests have also been reported near Netanyahu’s residence and in Jerusalem, where police have clashed with demonstrators. Some protesters are also calling for a ceasefire. RT Middle East Bureau Chief Maria Finoshina reports on the situation.
