Aug 3, 2024, 02:44 AM
Meta Platforms Inc., led by Mark Zuckerberg, is in discussions with Hollywood celebrities, including Judi Dench, Awkwafina, and Keegan-Michael Key, as well as influencers, to license their voices for AI projects. The company is offering millions of dollars for the rights to use these voices in a new AI voice product, which is expected to be announced in the fall. The Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has agreed to the terms of the deal. Meta aims to incorporate these celebrity voices into its MetaAI digital assistant product. The project remains confidential, and Meta representatives have declined to comment.
