West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has dismissed allegations that the Kolkata Police offered a bribe to the parents of a trainee doctor who was raped and killed at a state-run hospital in Kolkata. Banerjee came out in defense of her government, stating that the claims were unfounded and part of a conspiracy by the central government. She emphasized that no money was offered to the family of the deceased doctor. Additionally, Banerjee mentioned that a top police official had offered to resign in light of the incident. The case is linked to RG Kar Medical College and has sparked the ShaktiFightback movement.
