The Mali Air Force has conducted a series of retaliatory airstrikes using Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs against Tuareg militants of the Coordination Movement of Azawad. The strikes targeted concentrations of militants near the border with Algeria, specifically in the city of Timzawaten, a stronghold of the Tuareg militants. Reports indicate that nearly 40 gold miners from Niger were killed in these airstrikes. The exact number of dead and wounded among the militants remains unknown. The attack was carried out by Malian UCAVs against Azawad forces.
