Madison Keys, the 19th seed from the United States, won her first Grand Slam title at the 2025 Australian Open, defeating the world No. 1 and two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in a thrilling final. Keys, aged 29, became the oldest woman to win her first Grand Slam since Flavia Pennetta at the 2015 U.S. Open.
