Federal charges have also been filed, including murder through the use of a firearm, stalking, and a firearms offense involving a silencer, potentially making him eligible for the death penalty. He was extradited to New York and is being held without bail in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he is reportedly in the same facility as Sean "Diddy" Combs and Sam Bankman-Fried. His lawyer is Karen Friedman Agnifilo, whose husband represents Diddy. Supporters have gathered outside courthouses to show support for Mangione, and social media users have been criticized for depicting him as a folk hero. Mangione is set to be arraigned on Monday.
