VisitLouisiana Delays Ten Commandments Classroom Mandate Until November 15, 2024 Amid Lawsuit
Jul 19, 2024, 10:00 PM
Louisiana will delay implementing a requirement that the Ten Commandments be placed in all of the state's public school classrooms until at least November. This decision follows an agreement approved by a federal judge on Friday as a lawsuit challenging the requirement makes its way through the courts. The law mandating the display of the Ten Commandments in classrooms will not be publicly enforced or endorsed until November 15, 2024.
