Lionsgate Partners with Runway to Integrate Generative AI for 'John Wick' and 'Twilight'

Lions Gate Entertainment, the studio behind popular franchises such as 'John Wick,' 'The Hunger Games,' and 'Twilight,' has signed a significant deal with AI startup Runway. This collaboration will see the integration of generative AI technology into the production of new movies and TV shows. The partnership aims to develop a new AI model tailored to Lionsgate's extensive catalog of over 20,000 film and TV titles, including a customized internal version called Gen-3 Alpha. Initially, the AI tools will be used for internal purposes like storyboarding and special effects, with plans to license the model to other studios in the future. Lionsgate expects to save millions of dollars through this initiative, enhancing efficiency and creativity in its production processes.
