VisitLinkedIn to Pay Nearly $6.63 Million to Settle Ad Overcharge Lawsuit

LinkedIn, a unit of Microsoft, has agreed to pay nearly $6.63 million to settle a proposed class action lawsuit. The lawsuit accused LinkedIn of overcharging advertisers by inflating video ad view counts on its platform. The settlement is currently awaiting approval from a U.S. Magistrate Judge. LinkedIn disclosed that software bugs caused over 418,000 inflated video ad view counts.
