Lazarus Group Suspected in $305M DMM Bitcoin Hack in July 2024

The notorious Lazarus Group is suspected to be behind the recent $305 million hack of the Japanese cryptocurrency exchange DMM Bitcoin in July 2024. According to cryptocurrency sleuth ZachXBT, over $35 million from the hack has already been laundered to the online marketplace Huione Guarantee. The laundering techniques and off-chain indicators point towards the involvement of the Lazarus Group, a cybercrime syndicate known for its sophisticated operations.
