LayerZero Labs, under the leadership of CEO Bryan Pellegrino, has initiated a campaign to combat sybil activity by identifying and potentially excluding sybil farmers from its airdrop. The company has discovered over 100 addresses linked to a popular airdrop hunter, indicating a sophisticated effort to game the system. LayerZero is offering an opportunity for these sybil farmers to self-report by May 18, allowing them to retain 15% of their intended airdrop allocation. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure fairness in the distribution of rewards, which includes collaborations with Chaos Labs and Nansen AI to enhance sybil detection capabilities. Additionally, LayerZero has completed its airdrop snapshot on May 1 and has confirmed that employees are forbidden from claiming airdrops.
