Las Vegas authorities have seized a significant amount of illegal fireworks in the lead-up to and during the Fourth of July celebrations. The Las Vegas Metro Police, in collaboration with the Las Vegas Fire Department, Clark County Fire Department, City of Las Vegas, and Clark County, confiscated over 17,000 pounds (8.5 tons) of illegal fireworks. This operation was part of the 'You Light It, We Write It' task force, which issued 229 citations. The task force's efforts were aimed at ensuring public safety during the holiday period. Photos from the enforcement show the scale of the operation, including the seizure of four semi-truck loads worth of fireworks.
