VisitLAPD and Secret Service Detain Two Men Dressed in Black Near Kamala Harris's Home Amid Palisades Fire Curfew
Jan 12, 2025, 02:18 PM
Two individuals dressed in black were detained by the Los Angeles Police Department near the Brentwood home of Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday morning. The incident occurred during curfew hours set due to the ongoing Palisades Fire, which has ravaged the area. The police, along with the Secret Service, responded to a report of a possible burglary at around 4:40 a.m., but found no evidence of a burglary. Instead, the two men were arrested for violating the curfew. The Palisades Fire, which has burned over 23,000 acres and is only 11% contained, has led to evacuation orders in the neighborhood where Harris's home is located. The detained individuals were later released as no evidence of a crime was found.
