VisitLanger and Son Win Sixth PNC Championship Over Team Woods After Charlie's Hole-in-One
Dec 22, 2024, 10:09 PM
Fifteen-year-old Charlie Woods, son of golf legend Tiger Woods, made his first career hole-in-one during the final round of the PNC Championship in Orlando. On the 177-yard par-3 fourth hole, Charlie used a 7-iron to ace the shot, with his sister Sam caddying. The father-son duo had shared the lead after an opening-round 59 and tied the tournament scoring record with rounds of 59 and 57. Despite Charlie's remarkable ace, Team Woods finished runner-up after losing in a sudden-death playoff to Bernhard Langer and his son Jason. Langer's eagle putt on the first playoff hole secured their sixth PNC Championship title and a record-low score of 28 under par. Tiger Woods described witnessing his son's achievement as 'the thrill of a lifetime.'
