Landslide on Kedarnath Yatra Route Kills 3, Injures 8

A massive landslide struck the Kedarnath Yatra route near Chirwasa in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of three pilgrims and injuries to several others. The incident occurred as debris and heavy stones fell from a hillside, affecting travelers en route from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. Rescue teams, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), promptly reached the site, evacuating the injured and conducting search operations. Eight pilgrims were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his sadness over the incident and confirmed that relief and rescue efforts are ongoing.
