Lando Norris secured pole position for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, leading a McLaren front-row lockout with teammate Oscar Piastri qualifying second. Norris's pole lap was clocked at 1:19.327, with Piastri trailing by just 0.109 seconds. This marks McLaren's first back-to-back pole positions since the 2012 Italian and Singapore GPs. George Russell of Mercedes qualified third, followed by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Lewis Hamilton qualified sixth. Max Verstappen, the championship leader, faced challenges and qualified seventh, marking his worst Q3 result since Miami last year.
