Dec 25, 2024, 11:52 PM
Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens surpassed Michael Vick to become the NFL's all-time leader in quarterback rushing yards during a Christmas Day game on December 25, 2024. Jackson achieved the milestone with a 6-yard run in the third quarter against the Houston Texans, bringing his career total to 6,110 yards, surpassing Vick's 6,109 yards amassed over 13 seasons. Jackson, at 27 years old and in his seventh NFL season, reached this feat in just 102 games, 41 fewer than Vick's 143 games. Earlier in the game, Jackson electrified the crowd with a 48-yard touchdown run, contributing to the Ravens' 24-2 lead. Head coach John Harbaugh congratulated Jackson on the sideline for breaking the record. Jackson's dual-threat abilities continue to redefine the quarterback position in the NFL.
