VisitLakers Trade D'Angelo Russell, Maxwell Lewis, and Three Picks to Nets for Finney-Smith, Milton
Dec 29, 2024, 05:20 PM
The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to trade guard D'Angelo Russell, forward Maxwell Lewis, and three second-round draft picks to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for forward Dorian Finney-Smith and guard Shake Milton, according to sources including Shams Charania. The deal provides the Lakers with much-needed wing depth and defensive capability in Finney-Smith, and improves their salary cap flexibility by placing them $3.5 million below the NBA's second salary cap apron. D'Angelo Russell, who is on an expiring $18.7 million contract, returns to the Nets, where he previously played from 2017 to 2019.
