Sep 24, 2024, 01:40 PM
Kyle Larson dominated the NASCAR Cup Playoff elimination Night Race at Bristol, leading nearly the entire 500 laps and winning by the largest margin in three decades, 7.088 seconds. Despite his impressive victory, the race was criticized for lacking excitement. Larson's win secured his advancement to the Round of 12 in the playoffs. Ty Gibbs, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski, and Harrison Burton were eliminated from playoff contention. Larson credited Kyle Busch for his success at Bristol, noting he learned a lot from racing against him. The NASCAR community is now looking ahead to the next playoff race at Kansas Speedway, where the Xfinity and Truck Series will also compete. This win marks the largest margin in the Next Gen era.
