Kyle Larson faced a setback at the NASCAR race at Iowa Speedway after pitting from the lead on Lap 82 due to a tire issue, which dropped him to 32nd place. Despite this, Larson made a remarkable recovery, rapidly climbing back through the field. He moved from 33rd to 11th within 16 laps, eventually breaking into the top 10 by lap 105. By Lap 106, Larson was solidly in the top 10. Ryan Blaney initially led the race, fending off challenges from Larson and leading teammate Joey Logano after 88 laps.
