VisitKucherov Becomes Fifth NHL Player to Hit 100 Assists in a Season
Apr 18, 2024, 12:52 AM
Nikita Kucherov has joined the elite ranks of NHL players by achieving 100 assists in a single season, becoming only the fifth player in league history to do so. This milestone was reached during a game where he assisted Brayden Point, marking his 100th assist. Kucherov's achievement places him alongside hockey legends such as Wayne Gretzky, who last achieved this feat in 1991 and did so 11 times, Mario Lemieux, Bobby Orr, and Connor McDavid. Notably, Kucherov is the first winger to accomplish this in NHL history. His performance this season includes a total of 44 goals and 144 points, potentially positioning him for the MVP title. Kucherov plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
