Kroger has finalized a $1.37 billion settlement with 30 states over its role in the opioid crisis. The settlement addresses allegations that Kroger pharmacies contributed to the opioid epidemic by failing to adequately monitor opioid distribution. Several states, including Utah, California, Arizona, Nevada, and Arkansas, will receive significant portions of the settlement. Utah will receive $14 million, California up to $122 million, Arizona up to $68.5 million, Nevada $26.7 million, and Arkansas $30 million.
