Sep 11, 2024, 01:15 PM
The security situation in northern Kosovo remains tense and fragile, especially after the Banjska incident in September 2023. The Kosovo Special Prosecution announced on Wednesday that it has filed an indictment charging 45 individuals on terrorism charges over the attack by a Serb armed group in Banjska, near Zvecan, which resulted in the death of one Kosovo police sergeant. The attack, carried out by ethnic Serb gunmen, led to a violent shootout with police, leaving four people dead. Among those indicted is Milan Radoicic, a former Kosovo Serb politician. Most of the suspects are believed to be in Serbia.
