Japanese drinks giant Kirin Holdings has announced the release of an electrified spoon designed to enhance the perception of salty taste without adding extra sodium. This innovative product, priced at £100, aims to promote healthier eating habits by reducing salt consumption. The spoon, which uses electricity to amplify the salty taste and umami of foods, will be sold to 200 randomly selected customers through Kirin's online store, with reservations open until June 2.
