Jul 9, 2024, 08:30 AM
Kellye SoRelle, an attorney for the Oath Keepers and girlfriend of the group's founder Stewart Rhodes, has agreed to plead guilty in connection with her role in the January 6 Capitol riot. SoRelle, who was also a witness for the January 6 committee and a legal volunteer for Trump's 2020 campaign, served as a liaison to the Proud Boys and pro-Trump 'Stop the Steal' groups. Judge Mehta found her competent on July 2 after approximately a year in the hospital for competency restoration. It is not yet clear to what charges she will plead guilty, but she has reached a plea deal.
