Sep 3, 2024, 02:04 PM
Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign, in conjunction with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Tim Walz, plans to transfer nearly $25 million to support down-ballot Democratic candidates in state and federal races. This unprecedented move follows a significant fundraising surge, with the Harris campaign raising $540 million since its launch. The allocation of funds includes $10 million each to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), $2.5 million to the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), and $1 million each to the Democratic Governors Association (DGA) and the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA). This transfer marks the largest ever in a presidential election cycle and aims to bolster Democratic efforts across various levels of government. Additionally, the vice-president plans to spend $370 million on advertising in the coming weeks.
